This week, the rooftop garden moves indoors due to the prediction of 4-5 days of raw, cold rain. We rigged some garbage bags on the porch and lugged everything downstairs. Our front porch is an absolutle sauna in the coldest of weather, so it'll be nice for the plants to have some greenhouse-effect warmth for the next week. I'll put them back outside when the nights are back over 50 degrees again.
That said, everyone is growing nicely! The peas will be ready for caging soon and I've already got buds on tomatoes. Chris and I snacked on some of the teeeeensy baby lettuces this morning and they were heaven. Can't wait to stop spending money on greens for a few months!
Oh yeah...guess that means I'll have to eat them??
